Transport

Conveniently situated between the two largest cities in Wales – Swansea and Cardiff – Bridgend boasts excellent transport links, and is well connected with other parts of the UK whether by road, rail or bus.

Road

The M4 Motorway gives direct access to London, West Wales and the South east of England. The A465 Heads of the Valleys route provides a fast link from the Midlands and the North via the M50, M5 and M6.

Rail

Bridgend has a centrally situated train station. All regions of the UK have frequent links either direct or with one easy interchange. There are excellent Rail/Air Links from London Heathrow and Gatwick, Bristol and Cardiff Airports. Both Swansea and Cardiff can be reached within thirty minutes.

Regular rail services are centred on hourly services to London and there is a comprehensive service to local inter-urban destinations across south and west Wales.

Buses

An extensive network of local buses serves Bridgend County Borough and the nearby towns and cities making getting around incredibly easy for those who don’t drive.
